With Golnar Kat Rahmani, Creative Director and Artist
Golnar Kat Rahmani, Creative Director and Artist, was born and raised in Iran. She studied visual communication at the University of Tehran and at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art. Today she runs the Berlin-based studio Kat Rahmani with a focus on Persian/Arabic and multilingual type design.
In her typographic workshop “Type & Politics”, Kat Rahmani imparts knowledge of Persian/Arabic typeface and dispels ideological prejudices in the process. In an experimental way, visitors can create their own typographies that convey the joy of the tradition of Persian penmanship and the aesthetics of Persian/Arabic script.
