Holidays are a break invented by us humans—a pause from work, school and everyday life. As part of the exhibition Civilization—Our Life in Focus, we want to explore how this «invention» shapes our environment. We are dedicating an area of the exhibition to your contributions.
We are looking for photos of landscapes, objects or scenes in whichhumans have intervened in nature: artificially created beaches, ski slopes on green hillsides, souvenir stalls in volcanic craters or extra-high benches built for the perfect shot. When travelling, far from our familiar surroundings, we see things differently. The curious, the unnatural, the beautiful—and sometimes the ugly—suddenly stand out.
Join in and become part of our analogue picture wall at the exhibition!
Among all participants, we will raffle off a family ticket to Alpamare in Pfäffikon, Switzerland’s largest water park, as well as a beachtowel by the Zurich-based design studio Frotte di Mare. For anyone who wants to run through an artificially generated wave pool and race down plastic water slides once again.
Please note:
By submitting a photo and participating in the raffle, you agree (and, if applicable, confirm the consent of any people depicted inyour photo) that the image may be shown in the exhibition Civilization—Our Life in Focus and on our Instagram channel.
We reserve the right to excludeunsuitable submissions.
All photoswill be destroyed after the exhibition.
