Plan your visit

This year, Zurich’s Long Night of Museums at Toni-Areal is all about Japan!

In our new exhibitions, you can discover contemporary Japanese graphic design as well as the fascinating works of Helmut Schmid, who was inspired by his newfound home in Japan. Get enchanted by the traditional art forms of bonsai, suiseki and ikebana, or simply enjoy a tasty ramen soup, exquisite brands of sake and a refreshing Japanese beer. You’re also invited to get creative yourself! Look forward to an evening full of Japanese impressions and delights. Yokoso!

You’ll find further inspiring program points and offers at Ausstellungsstrasse and Pavillon Le Corbusier. We look forward to your visit!

Fascination Bonsai

For the Long Night of Zurich Museums, the entrance hall at Toni will be transformed into a Japanese world. Experience selected miniature trees and suisekis from the Swiss Bonsai and Suiseki Friends Association and its affiliated clubs.

Ikebana – friendship through flowers

In cooperation with the non-profit organization Ikebana International (I.I.), we will be showing various Ikebana arrangements exclusively at the Long Night. In Ikebana, flowers and branches are artfully arranged in vases and bowls, which has not only aesthetic but also spiritual value. The term Ikebana literally means “living flowers”.

Mehrspur

Finals 24 – On this evening, the 2024 diploma concerts of the ZHdK jazz degree programs will take place!

The concerts represent the contemporary exploration and personalities of an emerging generation of musicians. Whether jazz, pop or alternative rock, onomatopoeic soundscapes, groovy soul, free improvisation or dialect folk, large ensembles or solo: the students write their own music, put together their bands and stage their performances. The result is top-class artistic concerts by new acts with fresh, previously unheard music.

Club Mehrspur, 6pm-2am, concerts at 8:30pm and 10pm
