As architects and designers, Trix and Robert Haussmann shaped the critical examination of modernism through their rooms, furniture and products. During their training, they were introduced to the design principles of Bauhaus and International Style; in the 1960s, they began to question the rigid conventions and found inspiration for this in the history of architecture and art.
