A cinematic journey into the mind of Eileen Gray. In 1929, the Irish designer built a retreat on the Côte d'Azur together with journalist Jean Badovici. Her first house was a quiet but avant-garde masterpiece. She named it E.1027 – a cryptic combination of their initials. When Le Corbusier becomes aware of the house, he is overwhelmed and becomes obsessed. He paints colorful murals naked on the white walls and publishes photos of them. Gray describes these paintings as vandalism and demands that he repaint the walls. He ignores her wishes and instead builds his famous Cabanon directly behind E.1027, thereby determining the narrative of the site to this day. A story about the power of female expression and the reaction of a wounded man.
