On Architecture shows a small selection of architecture posters and thus illustrates the thematic spectrum of the content: Architecture exhibitions and lectures are not just about presenting the work of renowned architects, but increasingly, especially in recent times, about social, political, economic and ecological issues that aim to reach a wide audience. Technological developments and architecture, a new look at innovative buildings through photography or a playful appropriation of architectural projects through paper models - numerous exhibitions illustrate the desire to convey the relevance of architecture, urban development, the environment and society. Examples of this are the Swiss Architecture Museum S AM in Basel, founded in 1984, and the still young Zurich Center for Architecture ZAZ. The renowned graphic design studio Claudiabasel has been responsible for the visual identity of the S AM for many years. Sustainability and environmental friendliness are central aspects of recent exhibitions: Critical Care - Architecture for a Planet in Crisis was the title of an exhibition by the Architekturzentrum Wien, which was shown at the ZAZ in 2021.
