Women's Soccer EURO 2025: The museum is in soccer fever

Stars such as Alexia Putellas, Leah Williamson, Alisha Lehmann, and other top players from Europe meet during the Women's Euro 2025 in Zurich—one of the most important venues of the tournament and an exciting cultural hotspot in Switzerland. The Museum für Gestaltung Zürich is taking advantage of this unique opportunity to combine soccer and culture and enrich the event with its own offerings.

In cooperation with HER GAME CULTURE – Zurich's cultural program for the Women's Euro 2025 – the museum has demonstrated how closely culture and soccer are intertwined with three workshops: In the workshop “How do I knit a fan scarf?”, participants learned about the typographic knitting font “Knit Hello” and now know how to knit a fan scarf. In the workshop “Claim your merch!”, participants created individual designs that were printed on textiles during a screen printing event on July 5.

With these projects, the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich is helping to bring the Women's Euro 2025 to life in Zurich, strengthening the connection between sport, culture, and society in a city that stands for diversity, innovation, and cohesion.
