Giliane Cachin’s focus is on designing visual identities as well as editorial design and research-oriented projects. Her compositions, based on an analytical approach, are inspired by data sets and technical drawings. Rhythmic sequences and a feel for detail and formal order characterize her work. For the designer, grid systems serve not only as tools but also as visual elements. Instead of seeing specifications and rules as limitations, she uses them as a structural framework within which surprising design processes can unfold.
