Summer 2025 in Zurich — Experience Design and Culture at the Museum

When the sun shines over Zurich and the city heats up, the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich becomes the ideal retreat: for inspiring design discoveries and a pleasant cool-down. At three locations and on the lake promenade at Utoquai, the museum offers exciting insights into the world of design – close to the water and in pleasantly temperate exhibition rooms.

Throughout the summer, a diverse cultural program invites visitors to experience design in new ways. From refreshing exhibitions and atmospheric concert evenings to gelato and iced coffee by the water, there is something for everyone here.

A cool oasis in the middle of the city

The sunken garden in front of the museum on Ausstellungsstrasse is a real insider tip: under mighty old trees right next to the pond with colorful koi fish, you can relax and escape the heat and hustle and bustle. The museum café offers a range of homemade lunch menus, barista coffees, delicious ice cream, and aperitifs.

A day at the lake

Built in 1968, the Pavillon Le Corbusier in Seefeld invites visitors to enjoy a unique «promenade architecturale» during the summer months, where you can experience Le Corbusier's architectural brilliance on several floors.

Afterwards, treat yourself to a refreshing dip in the nearby lake. The shop in the Pavillon Le Corbusier sells the perfect beach towel for the occasion – a limited Le Corbusier special edition by Frottee di Mare.
