Pop-up
Laurenz Brunner has been designing the visual identity of Schauspielhaus Zürich since 2019. In five years, he has created over 75 campaigns that negotiate the themes covered in an ambiguous way. Brunner raises demands for diversity, inclusion and fluid identities through creative moments of irritation and coincidence. Laurenz Brunner uses formal layering, mirroring, break-ups and mergers to question the conventions of the poster tradition and builds a bridge to the present day with pop culture references. Ten posters for the Schauspielhaus are on display on the vestibule wall on Ausstellungsstrasse, supplemented by a selection of digital and printed copies of the work to browse through.
